Thank you for shopping at Ledgershop. We are committed to providing top-tier security for your digital assets. Due to the sensitive security nature of the products we sell—specifically Ledger hardware wallets and similar security devices—we maintain a strict policy regarding returns and refunds to prevent tampering and ensure the integrity of your private keys. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order. By completing a purchase, you agree to the terms outlined below.

UAE Consumer Protection Notice: This policy is designed to comply with applicable consumer protection laws in the United Arab Emirates, including Federal Decree-Law No. 5 of 2023 on Consumer Protection. Nothing in this policy shall deprive you of any statutory rights that cannot be waived or limited by agreement under UAE law.

1. Product Applicability

This policy applies to all purchases of Ledger hardware wallets and related security accessories made through the Ledgershop website (the "Products").

2. Return & Refund Eligibility (Strict Policy)

⚠️ Due to the cryptographic security nature of hardware wallets, the following conditions apply strictly:

2.1 Statutory Cooling-Off Period (UAE Customers)
Under UAE law, consumers may have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance sales contract within a specified period. However, due to the cryptographic security and tamper-evident nature of hardware wallets, this statutory right of withdrawal is conditional upon the Product packaging remaining completely unopened and the tamper-evident seal fully intact. Once the packaging has been opened or the tamper-evident seal is broken, the statutory cooling-off right immediately ceases to apply. This restriction is necessary to protect all customers from the risk of device tampering and supply chain attacks, and is consistent with industry standards for cryptographic hardware security devices.

2.2 NO Returns or Refunds for the Following Reasons:
A hardware wallet is a security storage device designed to protect high-value digital assets. To ensure the absolute security of your assets and prevent potential device tampering, we do NOT accept return or refund requests based on the following:

  • Change of mind / No longer needed.

  • Accidental order or incorrect product selection.

  • Incompatibility with personal computer/mobile device (Please verify system requirements on the official Ledger website before purchase).

  • Failure to set up or use the device (We recommend consulting official Ledger support documentation).

  • Any request made after the product packaging has been opened or the tamper-evident seal has been broken.

2.3 Sole Exception: Manufacturing Defects (Dead on Arrival - DOA)
A refund or replacement will only be considered if:

  • The product is completely unopened and the tamper-proof seal is fully intact, and upon inspection, the package is missing the Product or contains an incorrect item; OR

  • The product arrives Dead on Arrival (DOA) due to a verified manufacturing defect, and the tamper-proof seal remains intact with no signs of use.

3. Condition for Returns (Quality Issues Only)

If you believe your device has a manufacturing defect upon arrival and the box seal is intact, you must contact us within seven (7) calendar days of delivery.

  • Tamper-Evident Seal: Any return request for a product where the shrink wrap or security seal has been broken will be automatically rejected. This is an industry standard for crypto security hardware to prevent supply chain attacks.

  • Inspection: All returned items are subject to a thorough, manufacturer-grade security inspection. If the item shows signs of use, tampering, or if the seal is broken, the return will be voided and the item will be shipped back to you at your expense.

Manufacturer Warranty Alternative: For Products with manufacturing defects, you may also pursue a warranty claim directly with the manufacturer, Ledger SAS, subject to the manufacturer's published warranty terms. We will provide reasonable assistance in facilitating such claims upon request.

4. Refund Process (If Applicable)

If your return is approved based on the strict criteria above (sealed/unopened DOA):

  • We will notify you via email.

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within five to ten (5-10) business days after the returned Product is received and inspected.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable. The cost of return shipping for a verified DOA item will be covered by Ledgershop only after verification of the defect.

5. NO 7-Day Unconditional Return Policy

Please be advised that we do NOT offer a "7-day unconditional return" or "no-questions-asked return" policy. Due to the cryptographic security requirements of hardware wallets, once a device has been opened or its tamper-evident seal is broken, it cannot be resold or restocked under any circumstances. All sales are considered final unless the item arrives defective and unopened as set forth in Section 2.3 above.
